Can you wash a Baavet wool pillow?

The natural, breathable, hypoallergenic, and durable properties of wool make it an excellent choice for a high-quality, supportive pillow that can provide long-lasting comfort and wonderful sleep.

Our pillows and cusions have always been popular and one question we occationally get is whether you can wash them...

The answer is that under normal use you don't need to wash a Baavet wool pillow. Wool is naturally dustmite and mould resistant as well as anti bacterial. The only thing that will need cleaning is the pillow case and the zipped case containing the wool.

All you need to do then is remove the wool and store in a container while washing the case and pillowcase. Then refill the cleaned zipped inner case and put the outer pillow case back on.

In an extreme situation (like a spillage after eating curry in bed) follow the same procedure and if any mess has seeped through the tightly woven pillow case, take the soiled bit of wool and soak in warm (not hot) water before drying naturally.

Ideally though, if you would like your natural wool pillow to last decades, avoid eating curry in bed. ;-)
