Caring for your new non-turn mattress
1. Remove the polythene bag and dispose of safely.
2. Do not cover your new mattress straight away, allow it to thoroughly air for a few hours.
3. Your new bed may seem a little strange at first. The chances are that your springs and upholstery in your old bed where not what they used to be.
4. Turn the mattress around on the bed to reverse head and foot ends every week for the first month, then every month thereafter. This helps the upholstery fillings to settle down evenly.
5. You may find that even with regular turning the upholstery layers in the centre of the mattress, where most weight is concentrated, will settle more quickly causing slight depressions. This is entirely normal and will not affect the comfort and the support of the mattress.
6. We recommend using a mattress protector to help extend the life of your mattress and protect the surface from any marking/damage.
7. Never use detergents or chemical cleaners on your mattress. These can adversely affect not only the covering material, but also some of the cushioning materials used. In the event of soiling, the mattress may be lightly sponged with a weak solution of soap and water. Excessive wetting can damage the fabric.
8. Never roll or bend your mattress. Most mattresses have straight lengths of wire down each side as part of the spring unit that, if bent, will not straighten.
9. Never use a mattress on a base that it is not designed for it. The life of a mattress can be severely shortened by use of on old or unsuitable base.
