Our Traditional Wool Two-sided Mattress offers an overall medium feel and is suitable for daily adult use.  This mattress is double sided with a medium pocket spring at the heart of the mattress. The spring unit is heat-treated to ensure durability, and the perimeter edge springs are firmer to provide increased edge support to reduce the feeling of roll-off. The unit offers excellent and robust support.   

The natural filling layers include wool and cotton.  The mattress requires regular rotation head/foot, as well as flipping over to promote even settlement of fillings.  It is hand tufted, has handles to aid rotation, breather vents and is upholstered using 100% cotton fabric.  The Traditional Wool Two-sided Mattress is available in all UK standard sizes, as well as bespoke sizes.

What Base Is Your Mattress Going to Sit On?

If you are buying a top-quality mattress then you need to consider the type of base your mattress will sit on.  A pocket sprung mattress is best suited to a solid divan style base rather than any form of slatted base. A divan style base will greatly increase the lifespan of your mattress and will reduce the uneven wear and stress caused by a slatted base. Our mattresses can only be guaranteed if used with a solid style base.

When you first take delivery of your new mattress be sure to follow any guidelines regarding the frequency of turning your mattress. Ideally you should rotate your mattress weekly in the first few weeks as the natural fillings settle. The mattress should then be rotated monthly throughout its life to evenly distribute the wear on the fillings and springs.
