I have only had my winter quilt for a month or so now so have yet to go through a winter however I feel that it'll serve me very well. It's a bit crunchy and russelly when you move about but I guess that's because it's new.
If you don't like the smell of sheep I'd stay away from this. I've had my quilt on the line a couple of times now and am waiting for another spell of nice weather to air it again. Not an unpleasant smell as it reminds me of the shearing shed when I was a kid.

The reason we have bought three is to one, take advantage of the amazing offer and two, we have made a once in a lifetime purchase in the form of a Motorhome and whilst we have yet to take delivery we are intending to use it throughout the year so the Duvets are another investment which we feel sure will enable us to have very comfy nights irrespective of the temperature!!!

Love it. We are accumulating all baavet quilts and pillows.

I received my Super King Size Winter Weight Duvet middle of January 16 so I have been using it over a year and use it all through the year even though it is supposedly winter weight. The good thing is it makes the bed really smooth, no bumpy duvets! Other than that I am sorry not to really like it. I am 68 and have been using duvets since 1970 when I got married (unusual then to have a duvet). The Baavet, although a good idea, is much too heavy to lift for bed making. For the first time in my life I have had to start using a top sheet so that I don't have to change the duvet cover as often. When I do change it, it is really awkward to put on, it doesn't flip and drape like down/ feather or manmade so takes ages to try and get the cover on, even though I use the method of inside out and try to flip it over. As to warmth, it was not warm enough until I started using a top sheet which suddenly made it much cosier. I also use a throw over the top when it is real ly cold. I live in a centrally heated house and only have one radiator on in the bedroom which I switch off around 9pm so it isn't too hot up there. I don't like the fact it is too yellow and shows through my white cover. It also slips down the bed by the morning and folds into a slight roll inside the duvet cover at the bottom. All in all, I wish I hadn't bought it, but lots of people do seem to like it going by the reviews.
