The duvet works in exactly the way it is marketed. Neither of us now overheats at night and the weight is perfect for this time of year.
The initial smell was pretty unpleasant but after a few weeks has totally disappeared .
We are delighted with this purchase.

The quality of the duvet is as expected. However, it was really strong-smelling even after 5 days of airing outside in the sun. I have had to also soak in cold water with vinegar and wool laundry liquid overnight and hand rinse. The smell is still there but bearable enough to sleep with now. Apart from this initial hassle, it's been lovely to sleep under. I had no problem with smell of the lighter weight duvets, only the medium. Please fix, as its a shame for such a lovely product. We bought this for use in our touring caravan. It is perfect. We were warm without being too warm. I get cold and my husband gets hot, but both of us were really comfortable all night.

The duvet is a lovely quality, beautifully made. When new it had a wooly smell, not unpleasant but noticeable. We think the medium may be too warm during high summer and have since bought a lighter one but not used that one yet.

Having spent many hundreds of pounds over the years on expensive featherdown and man-made duvets the Baavet wool duvet is a revelation. Its light but provides excellent warmth and has given my wife & I the best sleep ever. We will not be going back
