Oh my what can I say?! I am so pleased with my new duvet, it's wonderful to sleep under! Very comfortable and cosy:). Only one problem I don't want to get up in the mornings, because I'm so snug and warm:)! Would definitley recommend converting back to wool you won't regret it. Thanks Baavet.

Recipe for a cosy comfortable night's sleep for two.

1. Take a couple of tall retired people.
2. Lie them on a nice king sized bed.
3. Lay over them one king sized medium weight Baavet.
4. Place on the upper shelf of a terraced house.
5. Leave for 8-9 hours.

That's it! Simple!

Notes:
This recipe works in the English Midlands in winter, when the temperature in the house goes down no lower than 12C. You may wish to vary the quilt weight if you are in a much warmer or cooler location.

You may have to leave the people in bed for less than 8 hours, but it will be very difficult to get them out.

As it happens the top layer of our mattress is also wool, so we are sleeping entirely surrounded by wool and it is blissfully comfortable. Oh, and the pillow is good, too!

I have had my 425gm medium Baavet for a couple of weeks now & must say I am very pleased with it. I was using a 12.5 tog Hollowfil duvet which was a bit warm & this is just right so I would say it equates to about 10 tog. I bought mine from the bargain box & it was supposed to have some small marks on the casing. Well all i can say is they must be really small as I cannot find them, so I'm very happy. Like other reviewers I'm a little sad the smell has started to fade as it was quite pleasant.

If I have one teeny issue it's that the cambric casing is a deep creamy colour & if you have white bedlinen than it's likely that the duvet won't look as white on the bed against the sheets. It's not a case of cheap linen either: the cover is a dense 500 thread count & definitely looks very slightly cream instead of white. I don't know if the cambric can be made in a lighter shade but it's the only change I would ask for. Other than that I'm very happy.

I bought a king size Baavet on eBay just before Christmas and have to say it is absolutely perfect for us. My husband would overheat in any duvet, even in the winter and the bed would get very damp and clammy, it was like sleeping in a pond. I would either go and sleep in with the children or spend the night on the very edge of the bed (the driest bit). Since I bought the Baavet, no more pond-bed, it is dry and warm all night and we are sleeping so much better. I love the fact that it keeps us both cosy even though he used to be a hot sleeper and I was a cold sleeper - under a Baavet, we're all the same.
The lanolin smell is lovely too.
I am so pleased, I have now bought Baavets for the children too. A good night's sleep is worth any money (especially if you've got small children...)
