My wife and I purchased 2 x Kingsize Baavets at the Dorchetser show and had a brilliant deal. We got a light weight for me and a medium weight for my wife, due to our thermal differences, I am hot stuff in bed, (sadly clammy rather than stud like) and have a soft Tempur mattress, where my wife is a chilly soul and has a firmer spring mattress.
We are so impressed with our Baavets, they have been amazing from night one! Gone are the nights for me waking up in a sweat, I just feel so comfortable from getting under it at night, to crawling out in the morning. The weight of it is perfect for me.
My wife has been sleeping so soundly she is having a job getting up in the mornings, she is often now joined by the Cat, who seems to enjoy the Baavet too.
I read all the reviews and have to agree with all the positive aspects, wish I had spotted them sooner, brilliant in every way.

I bought a double douvet from Baavet last year at Blenheim Horse Trials so have been using it in my attic room (one radiator) for a year now. I am totally delighted with it. It is cool in summer (when the attic gets hot for sleeping) and works in winter too (I am a bit miserly with the heating - you could of course use the medium weight). Douvets in other rooms include a silk douvet and the classic goose down; however, if I hadn't already owned these, I would be buying the Baavet douvets for all rooms. I am planning on getting pillows this year for the attic (having a snuffly nose in the morning from feathers)
My only comment (its not a negative but a plea) would be for an option of a pure white cotton casing for the douvets (as well as the cream-white) - I find that the douvet under white bed linen gives it a slightly off-white look. However this creamier colour may be part of the quality processes involved in production and I'd rather that than compromise with chemicals.
